Nidhi Mittal
Nidhi is the Founder and Director of Co-creating Futures, a venture that helps her bring together her passion and dream.
Professional Background
Nidhi’s background in charity strategy, international development, research, policy and impact, and corporate social responsibility informs her mindful and integrative approach. She is really energised by the idea of supporting environment and development-focused organisations especially not-for-profits to be more adaptive, strategic and collaborative so they can make a lasting impact.
Nidhi’s diverse professional background, passion and a balance of analytical, coaching and interpersonal skills have led her to success in organisations like Trussell Trust where she supported a number of foodbanks and affiliated charities across Southeast and East of England with developing their strategies, and in Save the Children where Nidhi supported the mainstreaming of the resilience framework across country programmes in South Asia and East Africa.
Nidhi’s strong leadership skills and strategic insight were evident in her oversight of some large UKAid funded programmes at Ricardo Energy & Environment and the management of research and policy-focused country programmes at the Coalition for Urban Transitions, a policy think tank. Nidhi has long been a champion of evidence-informed policies and programmes, and participatory research, and has delivered a number of key evaluations, impact studies and research outputs across her various roles over the last two decades.
Research, academic and volunteering interests
Nidhi considers herself as a lifelong student, enjoys volunteering in her local community and is eager to build her knowledge and skills in mental health. She is passionate about coaching charities on strategy and organisational change. Nidhi is keen to further her practice in the spaces of poverty and destitution, financial inclusion, food security, climate and urban resilience, well being of children and young people, deepening her work with people of lived experience, and evidence-based policy and practice.
At leisure
Nidhi lives in the North Hertfordshire suburban countryside with her husband and two children. When she’s not working, she can be found walking and hiking in the nature reserve behind her home, playing with her boys, indulging in art, catching up with friends or curling up to read a book with a warm cup of tea.
